Hainan International Forum on Translation Industry and Talent Development 2023 will open as an exchange event for international translation talents under the guidance of Translation Association of China, Foreign Affairs Office of Hainan Province and CICG Academy of Translation and Interpretation. It has the support of Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan Province, Department of Science and Technology of Hainan Province and is organized by Hainan Nanhai Event Management Co., Ltd. This Forum is themed on “Cooperation, Innovation and Development; Together for a New Height of Hainan’s Translation Industry and Talent Development”.

The event will be held at Haikou, Hainan Province, China, from October 26 to October 28, 2023. It aims to promote exchanges and cooperation among global translation talents, thus injecting impetus into development and innovation of translation industry. The Forum will invite experts, scholars, key opinion leaders, translation service providers, translators, and upstream and downstream industrial chain enterprises in translation industry at home and abroad to gather in Hainan for digging into the new trend and new technology of translation industry and new thoughts and path forward for translation talent development.

This Forum event will include “Policy Interpretation and Keynote Speech” in the main forum, “Thematic Seminar and Dialogue and Exchange” in the parallel forum. And the “Sharing meeting” will be held in the meanwhile, in which experts, scholars, representatives of leading translation enterprises will share their valuable experiences and insights to provide academic and practical knowledge for participants. In the “Exhibition on Translation Industry Empowered by Cutting-edge Technologies” session, organizing committee of this Forum will invite leading translation equipment manufacturers and software R&D businesses to exhibit frontier products and services. Therefore, it will provide opportunities for participants to fully understand and explore cutting-edge technologies, thus promoting deep integration between translation industry and science and technology. In the meanwhile, other activities of the Forum such as   matchmaking conference and job fair will be held.
